Thanks to the generosity of our guests at the last Lukashyk Gala, a group of twelve travelled to the sea in June 2026 — children who lost a parent or loved one to the war, together with the parents who accompanied those too young to go alone. For many, it was the first time they had ever seen the sea. Next year, we hope to send an even larger group.

More than anyone, it was the extraordinary generosity of our guest Charles Hanna that carried these children to the sea. At last year's charity auction he contributed $8,000 — winning a one-of-a-kind LUKASHYK couture corset — and every dollar went directly to the children. We are deeply grateful.
Because of supporters like him, a group of twelve — children who lost a parent or loved one to the war, with parents accompanying the youngest — spent eleven days at the seaside in June 2026. For many, it was the first time they had ever seen the sea.

The evening is a full seated gala dinner: a multi-course menu, fine table settings, and unlimited drinks, served while the runway and live performances unfold around you. I am a Ukrainian-born couture designer and the founder of LUKASHYK — a fashion house built on the belief that every woman deserves to feel extraordinary. Founded in 2013, the brand has grown from a small atelier into an internationally recognized name.
For more than 15 years in Ukraine, I ran my own production house and experimental atelier, where every gown was created by hand. For 8 consecutive years I was the official partner of Miss Ukraine, dressing finalists for Miss World, Miss International and Miss Earth, and I collaborated with major television projects including The Voice of the Country and Dancing with the Stars. My collections have been presented on more than 20 international runways — from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days in Kyiv to Vancouver Fashion Week, Valencia Fashion Week, and Toronto International Fashion Week.
I also know what it means to leave your life behind. When the war began, I moved to Canada with my two children and made myself a promise: as soon as I could, I would help Ukrainian families give their children a little warmth, the sea, and peace. In June 2026, the first group made that trip — and this gala is how the promise continues.
Today my gowns are worn by celebrated women and stars across Europe, North America and Asia, and the LUKASHYK brand has been featured in Forbes, Vogue, Elle and other leading global media. I now run my own couture showroom in Toronto — and this gala is my contribution to placing Canada on the world's fashion map.
